Project Description

Quatuor Ellius, Francia

This ensemble enabled them to evolve into a broad register and their characteristic round and bewitching sonority. This peculiar mix of timbres achieves varied colors and atmospheres.
Today, after winning multiple international competitions – in France, Luxemburg and Belgium – Lea, Doriane, Clément, and Yoann pursue their work in the region around Strasbourg (France) with passion and ambition.
While revisiting various works of different styles with their own arrangements, and interpreting original scores for tuba quatuors – in parallel to several pedagogical projects, such as tuba practice workshops, Tubarbeuc, and master classes – Quatuor Ellius now hopes to add to their repertoire by reaching out to numerous local and foreign composers.

“Quatuor Ellius is an exceptional ensemble […] through their creativity and dedication, they make our instruments proud.”
